Discovering Technology And its Purposes

In our world today we are surrounded by technology. The sighted got a jump on the world of all things tech, but we were gaining on them. The blind community was first introduced to technology through screen readers, such as Jaws, ZoomText and NVDA just to name a few. There are some in the sighted world that fail to both realize/understand the importance of accessibility and its up to us to help them understand the importance of certain accessible features. Apple understands this and the blind community has fully embraced their products everything from the iPhone to the MAC and the interest is continuing to grow as the need continues to grow.
